best sounds of 2005

my friend gene and i were talking about the best big reggae albums of 2005 .. we narrowed it down to 3 and here are the candidates... mind you, the candidates are of a very mainstream choice, cuz one of the criteria for this definition of best was the impact of the album on the reggae scene. :

i wayne - lava ground
  • a very smooth album overall with i wayne's velvet voice. his hit can't satisfy her competes with jr gong's welcome to jamrock as the best single out . tunes like lava girl and living in love are also food for the soul.
sean paul - trinity
  • i havent actually listened to the whole album but the songs that play on the radios are all solid. the plus of the album is that it shows seandapal is moving toward the concious vibe.
damian jr gong marley -welcome to jamrock
  • every song off this album is top of the line. he has it all, slow, dancehall, roots, hip hop, r&b, reggae. his rapping style is full of riddim and wisdom. also, his additive influence on the worldwide reggae scene is breathtaking. he proves he is the first international reggae superstar bob marley's son.
